Hottake: Kreese owes Silver an apologie.
In my opinion, Kreese should’ve apologized to Terry Silver in S6P3 like he did with Johnny and Tory. Kreese started to realize his mistakes in Part 3, but one of his biggest mistakes he made was bringing Silver (Who was living a completely Happy and Chill life before S4) back into the Karate Drama. He not only ruined Silver’s life and reputation by making him feel guilt, anger and power-hungry and completely erasing 30 years of development. Not only that, but Silver had a limited amount of time to live anyway, so Kreese should’ve just left him alone. If you look on any wiki, it now refers Terry Silver as the “Main Antagonist” of the Karate Kid Series and John Kreese as the “Secondary Antagonist” and before Part 3, it was vice-versa which also makes me somewhat angry.
Anyways, in my opinion, Kreese should’ve apologized to Silver when he was on the Yacht. When they were talking before their final fight, Kreese totally could’ve tried apologizing to him and told him to live the rest of his days in peace and leave Johnny and Daniel’s lives alone. I know It probably wouldn’t have worked and Silver probably wouldn’t have forgave him and would’ve still fought him to the death anyway, but in my opinion, Kreese hurt Silver just as much as he hurt Johnny and Tory, if not, then even more so.
I also find it kind of unfair that Kreese has tried to hurt kids, trained many kids the wrong way, turned them into bullies and still got a soft redemption arc, and that Kim Da-Eun has done a lot of bad things in Season 5 such as constantly hitting kids for showing mercy, making Tory punch through a piece of stone and break her hand, and was even partnered with Terry Silver, yet she freely went back to Korea without any form of punishment unlike Silver. Silver on the other hand: found peace, got a good girlfriend, put the past behind him, quit his old addictions, and he even wanted to teach Cobra Kai the right way up until Season 4, Episode 8. Then Kreese comes back into his life and gets into his head, and Silver wants to teach karate the right way, but Kreese had to mess with him even more and be a real dick with the whole “Weakness” Discussion. Then, after Silver does become the person Kreese wants him to be, he then tells Silver to stand down and focus on the tournament, which is what Silver was planning to do anyway BEFORE Kreese messed with him (Do you blame Silver for wanting to get rid of him?). Anyways, all of the mental abuse and all of a sudden, Silver is the one character who gets absolutely no sign of redemption, but Kreese and Kim do? Don’t get me wrong, Silver obviously isn’t perfect either, but he’s nowhere near as bad as them. I dunno, I just find it unfair that Kreese didn’t at least acknowledge the fact that he’s the reason Silver got wrapped up in all of this drama.
