Is ‘Fabiano Caruana’ bad for the YouTube algorithm?
One observation I noticed with GothamChess is his refusal to include the names of any player in his titles besides ‘the big 3’ Magnus (1st), Hikaru, and Hans. The next candidate I figured had to be Caruana but to my surprise he is never named, but rather called the nameless ‘he’ or ‘him’, such as ‘HE BEAT MAGNUS’. I thought it went too far when a recent video was about Levy’s game vs Caruana and he actually had Carlsen in the thumbnail! Surely Levy knows the algorithm inside and out, so is it really the case that Caruana is bad for the algorithm? What does it say about the image of chess to the public?
