Having a 1080 in 2025

I have a GTX 1080 that I’ve had since maybe 2017-2018. Before that I had a 1050 Ti and those are the only two graphics cards I’ve had in my life. I’ve been wondering if it’s time to upgrade the 1080, and if so, what to? I’ve been looking around at other cards and it seems like AMD has been outperforming Nvidia for the past year or two but all the new cards are so expensive. For additional info, I have an i9-9900k.
