GTX 1650 to RTX 3060

before you read this keep in mind i bought my pc prebuilt from a local store about 4 years ago and i know fuck all about computers (barely passed IT)

i have a Intel Core i7-9700KF 3.60GHz, 16GB of memory and am currently using a GTX 1650 however as times have passed ive found its not the best for VR gaming, is it worth upgrading to a RTX 3060 and how easy will it be? my budget is around £200-£300 and i have never even opened my pc before.
