Nvme ssd not posting

So after a while I built my pc but now the motherboard is saying that there is no booting device detected/fail. Is this something that can only be fixed in bios or something my monitor hasn’t arrived yet so I can’t try to fix it that way. I have tried taking it out and putting it back in am I cooked?
