Late 90's Root parties on the Hill

When it was under the Pipefitter but in 98 or possibly 99 into 2000. Does anybody remember how insane those were in the early days? That's when we went. When we were all 18 and 19. It was the wild West in those days. I mean, the room off to the right alone.. iykyk.

My question is does anyone have any experiences, memories, or stories of the extremely early and quite underground (figuratively and literally) days? Remember any DJ's you saw, recordings that survived, stories, scary moments? The problem I have is it seems like only a few of my friends and I remember it. We grew up in Broomfield so we were 10-15 minutes away and went on weekends, there seems to be like almost no surviving record of the early days and I start to wonder if I'm imagining it wrong. I think really I just want to be able to go back to that time whether I'm 30% accurate or 99% accurate. It was such a dope time period in Boulder. Thanks.
