CGM is not practical for filipinos

This is just my opinion as a curly. I tried it for 2-3 yrs before giving up and through experience and research, cgm's rules are not for tropical countries. While doing cgm I began to want to rebond my hair than accept my curly hair bc of all the rules and limited available products to use.

Anyway my hot take on this is that a tropical country a curly needs silicones/occlusive as we are a humid and hot country. Between the air and your sweat, hair will be ruined at the end of the day. Also the don't wash your hair everyday is bad for the scalp. The scalp is skin thus you need to clean it and take care of it like the rest of your skin. The no hair washing is a bad practice for the scalp. Hair near the scalp are healthy so they can take the washing as long as you don't use the harsh shampoos.

I love the advocacy of CGM but as someone with adhd and a commuter, it is such a big expense, time consuming and hassle full lifestyle to have. As long as you care for your curly hair properly, any products and ingrediets are free game. The basics of using cotton tshirt/microfiber and using silk/satin bonet, no dry brushing and clarifying are the only ones I actually ones of the only useful tips there.

CGM is what I call a privileged lifestyle. The products and environment for you to properly follow it are for the ones with money. For those non commuter with their car and an air conditioned room with money to buy all the curly specialized products with extra time in their hands to do all the extra stuff.
