PG&E almost increased our bill 100% from last year. Anyone else experiencing this?

We are 4 people living together. Throughout the years our bill would always be around $30-50 per person. In winter months we know the bill would go up to $60-90 sometimes.

But the cold days are over and we use less electricity yet the price keeps increasing. A few days ago our bill came in at $480 for February. That's $120 per person. This is insane.

I want to know if everyone else is experience this? How's everyone dealing with this? The bill is getting ridiculously high.

I did a full break down and compared the bill from last year (Feb 2024). Last year we were charged $249 for the same month which is almost a 100% in increase. There's no way we used that much electricity.

Side question: Do you guys know if gaming computer could have caused this? We did change roommate once, who moved in a few months ago and he plays video games a lot with a 750W PSU power unit, 3 monitors. On weekend he wakes up and starts his day with Discord, online video games and then plays almost all day. During the week he's on his computer right after he comes home from work if he's not working from home, and plays video games or does any other internet activity.

I tried to narrow it down to what could have caused the 100% price increase. But also don't want to point fingers. I did bring it up but he said his lifestyle has minimal contribution to the price increase.

Last question: Would it make sense to switch plans? We're currently on the
