Travel from Canada to USA?

Hey, folks. I am a trans woman living in Canada, and for about half a year now I've had plans to visit the US to see my wife in July. My documentation is still representative of my birth gender, and I haven't applied for a legal name change. I also present rather masculine, as I consider myself proudly butch.

Realistically, how much risk am I at putting myself at if I want to make this happen? I am just trying to assess risk before I have to start booking.
