Premature gas ring wear?

First time AR owner/builder. Built my first AR a few weeks ago with this microbest chrome premium bcg off of gun deals. 500 problem free rounds so far, but the gas rings are already failing the gravity test. I thought they were supposed to last longer than that? Any clues as to what might be the culprit? Is this over gassing? Should I replace em now?
