Ruling with cards which can "copy" an effect

I have a question regarding Raidraptor Rising Rebellion Falcon, and other cards that may behave similar. The card states: Once per turn you can detach 3 materials from this card, then target 1 "Raidraptor" xyz monster in your gy; this cards gains that monster's effects until the end of the turn. - Can a card with this statement bypass the hard once per turn effect of say brave strix to set a rr spell after brave strix activated - Can it activate the other effect to search a "rank-up magic" spell card given it fulfills the condition of having a bird as material?

The two former effects, state you can only use 1 of the following effects of "Raidraptor - Brave strix" OPT and only once that turn

My guess is no, since hard opt seems to be more tied to the effect itself than the card that uses it, but I'd like to hear it from you experts.
