MAHCP sets strike deadline for March 7

The Manitoba Association of Health Care Professionals has set a strike deadline for March 7.

This is the union representing a number of allied health care professionals, including rural paramedics, diagnostic and lab technologists, respiratory therapists, social workers, mental health and addictions counsellors and so many more.

The group finally got a new agreement two years ago after more than 5 years with an expired contract - and the new agreement expired almost immediately. The communication from the union suggests that what's been offered by the employer is not matching what was offered to other health care unions.
