Started my welding journey by enrolling in a welding class. Here's my hood in pristine condition w/ some stcikers.

I'm learning welding as a hobby and skill, so that I can work on and repair my own trailers and some random projects around the shop.

The class is only 4 weeks long, meets twice a week, and class is four hours long. I told my teacher that I'd like to learn how to add a winch plate onto my trailer. He made sure that I understood that its not just about welding a piece of metal onto another piece of metal, but there's engineering and physics that needs to be considered when working on a project. Something that I didn't think about...

I'm excited to get class going and learn this magic! Anything I should focus on in class to be a decent welder?
