Thank you to everyone who participated in my research! This reddit post and another on r/SampleSize helped me gain an additional 63 participants in the span of just 3 days! I thought I would keep my post up as an example of how to layout a request for participants according to the r/UniUK wiki. Thanks again to everyone who took part!

Hi everyone! I'm a third year psychology student and with my project deadline approaching, I thought I would try recruiting some more participants. I'm new to Reddit so bear with me. Details are below!

My name is [DELETED] and I am a psychology student at the [DELETED]. I am looking for participants for my final year research project. My research aims to investigate the effect of gender, anxiety symptoms and emotional intelligence on help-seeking attitudes for emotional problems. The digital questionnaire has 49 multiple choice questions, and will take approximately 5-10 minutes. Anyone 18+ can participate!

All answers are anonymous. The data collected will remain completely confidential. Data will be stored on a secure, password protected file on the [DELETED] network. Only myself, my project supervisor and others with legitimate academic needs will have access to the data. Data collected will be deleted at the end of the year 2024. Once you have read the participant information sheet and submitted the questionnaire, this will qualify you as having given fully, informed consent to have taken part in the study and for your data to be used in research. You can withdraw from this study until the point of submitting the completed questionnaire by selecting the 'withdraw' button and/or closing the browser.
