Why did y'all choose ultramarines?

I know there must be a thousand of these posts in this subreddit, but I find it really interesting to see why people get into certain chapters.

For me, I studied latin for numerous years and I absolutely adore Roman stuff. I also like how the ultramarines are at least somewhat sympathetic to people, similar to salamanders-- but ofc, not nearly as sympathetic.

I chose them because they don't prefer any sort of combative style, they can kind of do a bit of everything. So they're not locked into being flame-focused like salamanders, or being vanguard focused like raven guard.

And for the last part, the blue is absolutely freaking gorgeous. Macragge blue is so damn beautiful to me in the strangiest way, it just looks SO RIGHT!

Edit: I also like how catholic-inspired they are because I myself am a Christian.
