Battery Drain Metrics on 2.00.08.61 Firmware
I fully charged my Ultrahuman Ring to 100% on 18th February at 3:30 AM. After 84 hours and 45 minutes, the battery is now at 32%, meaning it has drained 68% so far.
The overall battery drain rate is 0.802% per hour (68% ÷ 84.75 hours), which projects a total battery life of 124.7 hours (~5 days 4.7 hours). Compared to the advertised 144-hour (6-day) battery life, my ring is draining 15.6% faster than claimed, resulting in 19.3 fewer hours than expected.
With a 24mAh battery capacity, the ring has consumed 16.32mAh (68% of 24mAh) over 84.75 hours, meaning the actual power consumption is 0.193mAh per hour. If the ring performed as advertised, the expected drain rate would be 0.167mAh per hour.
Looking at more recent usage, the battery was at 40% exactly 8 hours and 40 minutes ago (on 22nd February at 5:30 AM), meaning it has drained 8% in that period. This gives a short-term drain rate of 0.923% per hour, which is higher than the overall average of 0.802% per hour. If this faster drain rate continues, the remaining 32% battery would last ~34.7 more hours (~1 day 10.7 hours), meaning the battery would reach 0% around 24th Feb at ~2:10 PM.
If the original 0.802% per hour rate holds, the remaining 32% would last ~39.9 more hours (~1 day 15.9 hours), putting 0% at around 24th Feb at ~7:24 PM.
The recent trend suggests the battery is draining faster as it approaches lower levels. If anyone else has tracked their drain rates, share your numbers. I will add a follow up comment when I hit 5%.
