Titanium Vs Granite Kitchen Top. Durability discussion.

So, I recently pulled out a drawer from under my granite kitchen countertop to pick up cutlery. I was a little clumsy and hit my UH ring on a sharp 90 degree edge of the granite, which led to a deep dent on the ring chamfer. At first, I thought it was dust on top because my ring is titanium, but when I removed the dust, there was a dent.

Is titanium inherently stronger than Granite? Has anyone experienced dents like this? I expected my ring to hold up better, but maybe granite is the BOSS when it comes to strength and I think Titanium is literally indestructible in my head (I don’t know why, lol).

Any experiences with scratches and dents?
