USPS treats their employees like crap.

Just wanted to share our story. Beginning of January, husband was working and was picked up in the middle of his work day. Went back to the office and they said HR couldn’t access a background check to make sure he didn’t have a criminal record for some reason. If he got a cleared paper he would be able to possibly get back in line for getting his route and getting back pay for time missed (PTF working for 8 months at the time) No warning or anything. However, he did receive ONE email that was in junk he never viewed. Never received anything in the mail, no phone calls, nothing verbal. Just one email that went to spam. We flew all the way to a different state to get the paper showing he didn’t have a criminal record (took 30 seconds and $50 for the paper, not to mention $700 for the last minute plane tickets) and now it is almost two months…. Nothing. Union said since he signed some papers there’s nothing he can do. His old supervisor said to let him know when he’s applied, we’ve contacted him over 5 times and nothing. How could they have done this when it was their error. There was nothing stopping them for getting his report. He didn’t have a record! The USPS treats their employees like crap, and you all work so hard. Time to find a different job.
