Need Advises for getting a software developer job

I just relocated from Hong Kong to London and started searching Software Engineer/Developer job in the beginning of July. I am using Linked, Indeed, CV Library, Totaljobs and recently Otta as the job searching platforms. I applied nearly more than 100 jobs but I only got 2 or 3 chances for the interviews. Even I have prefect match on the tech stack of the job description.

Here is my background:

• I worked as Software Engineer for 9 years. My previous job is working in a big size company (+10000 employees) but it maybe only famous in its own industry.
• I got 1 year unemployed gap. I lost my job due to some government policy related to Covid. But I keep learning different skills, get certifications and have hands on practice with my personal project.
• On my CV, I provided an UK phone number and UK living address. I also mentioned I don't required any Visa sponsorship.
• My expected salary is around 55k GBP
• My tech stack: Typescript, Javascript, Node.js, React, AWS

Some points I have thought about:

• The unemployed gap
• Maybe most of the company prevents hire people who needs Visa
• My expected salary is too high
• I am not English native speaker. I think I can normally communicate in work because English is the main language in my previous company. However, I have some conversations with the recruiters. Sometimes I can't hear or understand what they are speaking on the phone. But I can normally talk to interviewers using video call. I am not sure if it is the problem of mine or the interviewers have spoken slower for me.
