Accidental UV exposure (tanning lamp) 3 weeks post-op
Hi,
had a shower at a friends and they have an “infrared panel” in the shower, only looked it up afterward and turns out it has UV because it’s “healthy” 😀 why would it have UV? How is that healthy
I stood right next to it with my fresh incision/scars for like 10 minutes.
It says “Sunshower® emits 80% UVB light and 20% UVA light” “A 10-minute session for the Sunshower is comparable to 10 minutes in the Dutch summer sun.”
So realistically what damage could I have caused? Is it just the scar colouration or also the scar integrity and healing process? Inflammation?
I know I can’t really do much about it anymore but just want to know what the result of this is so I can stop thinking about it… (10 minutes doesn’t seem too long but the scars are so fresh, they’re barely scars yet even, which worries me)
Sorry for posting this much, I’ve turned into a hypochondriac from this surgery
