The injustice Ezrela received isnt talked about enough.

I think the main reason is cos Ezrela minds her business , doesnt shade any of the girls and is generally just kindhearted and doesn't show any resentment towards her time as a trainee/contestant and also makes sure to support anyone involved in the programme, both the Katseye members and the eliminated contestants. which is probably why this isnt as discussed. All I will say is she is a LOT better than me because if i had to deal with the stuff she did I dont know how i would deal with it.

Lets start of with dream academy itself- the fact she made it top 6 in fan voting in the finale and would've been in the lineup if judges voting wasn't randomly added to replace her with Megan. Now dont get me wrong I love Megan but it would be delusional for anyone to deny she received a LOT of favouritism from the company and trainers, both during training and during DA's airing and the fact she was essentialy rigged in last min as Ezrelas "replacement" is....messy. I mean ik image is important, Ezrela would've been the only short member blah blah but the fact Ezrela was the ONLY member the judges voted out of the fan lineup is just..idk

And don't get me started on pop star academy. She had basically zero screentime despite being one of the finalists and the comments they made on her towards the end? "The fact Ezrela made it this far is wild " missy actually needs to go sit down somewhere ngl . Mind you, she was similar talent level wise to Lexie but because Lexie had lighter skin and was loved by the ceo guy bang or something she was considered a potential member. (no shade to her either love her down I'm just stating facts) . They did a similar thing with Naisha, when she danced with energy it was "aggressive" and "she was taking it too serious" but when Emily who had a similar dance style to Naisha did the same it was "Yesss give us that energy queen!". The black and brown girls in this show went through quite a few microaggressions that i havent seen so obvious on TV since the early 2000s, and im somebody who isnt even sensitive like that. but thats a whole nother post.

Anyways this isnt really made to bash anyone, not even the Execs or trainers, more so just kudos from me that Ezrela is such a positive and supportive figure despite everything she has been through. I hope whatever path she pursues (which may be coming sooon as apparently her and Lexie were spotted recording something together) will go amazing.
