Tesla removed the discount after I paid the order fee

Today, I placed an order for a Tesla Model Y because there was a nice discount of $2,600, so I paid a deposit of $250. The pickup location was set to be at a local Tesla store, but the car is currently in transit, and I received a confirmation email as shown in the first screenshot. However, I later received another email, and this time the $2,600 discount was no longer included as shown in the second screenshot.

Is this normal? I feel like I've been deceived before even getting the car.

A Tesla employee from the local store informed me that due to a system error, it was impossible to deliver the car. I was given the option to either choose another car or cancel the order. I have now canceled the order because I made it clear that I would not purchase the car without the discount.

The issue now is, how do I get back my $250 deposit? I feel that since it was Tesla's system error, I should not have to bear the loss of the deposit.
