What's the Problem With Eli?

I've seen alot of people upset with this boy's mere existence & IDK why I think Derek having a son is neat. Isn't Jeff Davis working on another series? My thinking is the movie is gonna lead into either the new series or a reboot with Eli at the center. If done well Legacy characters are fun IMO. I'm not sure what the word on Tyler’s return is but I would love to see Derek & his son interact.

Also Derek was having sex since Paige the chances of the mom being Kate are 1 in a 100 I doubt he's Kate's son.
