Question: Can I use Smelling Salts in the classroom to help keep my students awake?

(Marked as Humor because it is a funny ethical question.)

So I was just thinking about this as I am grading. The title is essentially the question though it can be broken down into two questions:

1. Is it legal to use them in class to help keep my students awake.

2. Is it ethical and does not lead to real recourse from admin/parents?

Any thoughts about this before I go and buy some to keep my kids awake.
