Art Institute borrowers defense updates?

Quick background: I attended an art institute school during the period that is being forgiven by the department of education. I have two federal loans, one in my name and the other is a parent plus that I have been making auto draft payments to. When the emails went out from the department of education to notify eligible art institute students of the art institute scam, it stated that no further steps were needed and that payments would be deferred until all of the ink dried and the loans were completely wiped. I woke up this morning to see that I have been charged by my servicer (Nelnet) so I gave them a call. I had a good conversation with the rep, she stated that the deferment period ended for me this month because the department of education did not extend this period. She stated if I stopped making payments, this would not affect mine or my father's credit negatively in any way so It would be safe to turn off auto payments (which she did for me over the phone.) she also stated that the department of education has not yet approved the funds needed to wipe these loans so we're essentially just waiting for the wipe to be approved. My question: Is there any kind of tracking for this information? I'd love to know the status of this situation and when we can expect a full loan dispersal (and even refunds in some cases?? But I won't hold my breath)
