Just played spectre divide for the first time today, pretty fun ngl
I mainly play valorant and lol, but decided to try spectre divide when i heard that its being removed, i never played it on release so i thought this would be my last chance.
Being able to switch from 2 characters is really interesting, as a new player it allowed to me understand the gunplay a bit faster, essentially having a second life, but i think as players get better they wouldn't treat their clone as a second life but rather a tool to compliment their main character. I think the game could benefit from faster character switching as this would open the players up to being able to set up crossfires as 1 person.
I played csgo in the past and am a big fan of how they've changed their buy menu from the radial one to what it is now, copying valorant in a way, spectre divide also does this with their blocks of gun options, but where I think the other games have categories for weapons and a clear design language for quickly being able to identify the traits of a gun, ie a sniper is long and thin and a odin is physically large in the buy menu, in spectre divide all the guns look like they have the same proportions, like, the sniper in this game is the same width as an smg in the buy menu and made it confusing, differentiating between an smg and a rifle is almost impossible for a new player. Having 2 characters with different gun options is also needlessly complex in my opinion.
I feel like the game added features just for the purpose to add features, it has a unique idea, a cool artstyle and has interesting characters, but a poor management team and apparently a worse finance team is all it takes i guess
