Touring in Hybrid Boots?

Short story long...I want a set of these Cortex Zonal 140 BOA boots for resort skiing. However, I also want to start getting into touring. Can I not wear these for touring? I realize there isn't a walk mode. Just wondering what is stopping me from touring in these boots?
