Brahma 82, Brahma 88 SP, or Salomon Stance 84
Hey guys!
I'd like your advice on which skis to buy from the list.
About me: 6'1 (185cm) 220 lbs (100kg) sporty guy. I consider myself an advanced intermediate skier (10 years, but only about a week every year), comfortable with short and longer carved turns on blue and red slopes as well, but basically I've always been skiing on groomers, and I want to try and venture off-piste a bit more (lightly packed trees and a bit of powder).
- Brahma 82 180cm (2024)
- Brahma 88 SP 183cm (2023)
- Salomon Stance 84 185cm (2023)
From what I've gathered, the Stance is a great all-mountain, all-purpose ski, and from the reviews it seems more playful and forgiving than the Brahmas, which are described as stiff, unforgiving and requiring to be driven strongly at all times. Could I overpower the Brahmas with my height and weight, and could it be okay for me to try going off-piste with them? Or should I opt for more certainty and go with the Stance?
I was also looking at the Stance 90s, but unfortunately those are unavailable near me.
Thanks in advance!
