Reintegration was NOT established to be a slow process in season 1

A lot of people are saying it was established with Petey last season to defend the pacing of Mark's reintegration, but it was not actually established at all. Petey tells Mark "I’ve been reintegrated for two weeks now".

People retroactively take the view that Petey's reintegration sickness was a part of his gradual reintegration process and that he wasn't fully reintegrated yet, but

1) That was never said in season 1

2) It doesn't even line up with the information in season 1. The lab results from Petey's chip show "full synaptic coupling". Full.

Season 1 says that Petey is reintegrated, has been for two weeks, and that he has reintegration sickness as a result. It does NOT establish reintegration as a gradual process.

This is why many people thought Mark was reintegrated after episode 3, and why some feel the reintegration story has dragged unnecessarily since then.

If I'm wrong, then I'd be happy to be proved wrong.

TL;DR Season 1 says that Petey is reintegrated, has been for two weeks, and that he has reintegration sickness as a result. It does NOT establish reintegration as a gradual process.
