i can’t stop rereading Deep End by Ali Hazelwood

As the title says, i cannot stop rereading {Deep End by Ali Hazelwood}. it’s funny because it isn’t a 5 star book to me (i gave it 4 stars which i suppose is pretty close), but i’ve skim reread it so many times now. i’ll go in looking for a specific quote or scene and then end up just reading the whole thing because of how romantic Lukas is. i don’t remember the last time i highlighted a book this much. i don’t know what it is about Lukas, but this book definitely unlocked something in me. the way he is so blunt, communication is never an issue with him, he’s so dominant but also so soft and kind UGH! i think what really gets me is how touchy he is and the way he can’t seem to keep his hands off Scarlett. i didn’t even think someone like him would be my type but DAMN.

anyways, the reason i didn’t give it five stars is because of the whole Pen issue, which has been talked about a million times on here but i will still continue to talk about it. what really doesn’t make sense to me is how they kept it from their own TEAMMATES. realistically, it doesn’t make sense. Lukas is this huge student athlete who always has eyes on him and word never got out that him and Scarlett are interacting more, physically touching, or staring each other down? and i honestly wish Pen didn’t end up being a problem, i feel like Scarlett was dealing with enough stuff as is.
