Can we admit Bush overreacted to 9/11?
9/11 was a tragedy. It hurt the national psyche in ways that we’re still recovering.
But you’d be hard pressed to meet someone who thought the wars and overall response was well executed…
And in my opinion it was a overreaction. The United States should have accepted enhanced intelligence procurement, increased airport security, and small scale special operations would have been best to deal with the threat of terror
Accepting that, the CIA and FBI not talking to each other is basically what caused it, and work on ways to fix that…..
Not declare a war on a concept, invade country that had nothing to do with it, stay 8 plus years in a country that housed the perpetuators even after said perpetuators had escaped, waste trillions of dollars, drain the nation’s resources, hurt our alliances and world perception
It was a overreaction to 3,000 innocent lives lost because of the actions of small stateless group and intelligence incompetence, and perhaps Bush’s own incompetence prior
