What do you think of this argument?

So I recently came across an argument about why someone might not like what Penelope did in Whistledown. The main thing is that while this person doesn't hate her, they felt that her actions took away the agency of Colin and Eloise in their respective situations. That Penelope basically made the decision for them in how to deal with things and acted as if she knew better. This is why they don't condone Penelope's actions. They think Penelope should have told Colin and Eloise the truth, stepped back and let them decide how to deal with it.

Here are my thoughts: this is probably one of the more compelling arguments I've seen. Not enough to make me change my mind tho. While it would have been nice for Colin and Eloise to have a say in how things went, things were already out of control by the time Penelope decided to write. I don't thing being honest would have been any help at that point.

What do you guys think?
