SX-70 not finishing cycle

Please see attached video. I just picked up my new sx70 and i have been having a small problem with it. After giving it a fresh pack of film it just clicked. After reinjecting it like 10 times the darkslide came out. Then after 10 more shutter pressed the first picture came out. Here the shutter sounded but the ejection did not happen. Viewfinder is also not blocked.

After troubleshooting a bit i think the issue is that after the cycle is completed the gears are not turned enough. If i manually advance the gears after a shot/loading film the next cycle is just fine.

Any ideas what could cause this? A bad motor? Wonky pcb causing the timing to be off?
