Just euthanized by 14 yr old dog

It really hurts. Many undermind the level of grief a pet loss is. But at the same time more people are understanding how important dogs are and starting to become more empathetic of that loss. We did an at home euthanasia. I strongly support that. It was easier not only on us, but most importantly on my pet. He was at home where all his joy and memories exist. I know we gave him a hell of a life to live. That is one thing that makes me feel a bit more at ease about this loss.
