USF(uni of south Florida) vs. Penn State vs. Michigan State
Hi!
I have been accepted to USF, Penn State and MSU for psychology and I’m having a hard time deciding on one and would love if you guys could give some advice. So let me lay it out for you first.
USF: USF is honestly great for me. I am an international student are currently live in a very big city so USF is honestly perfect for me and even my parents agree. I like their campus plus it is in a very good city. Problem is that USF does not have a very high ranking for psychology. And while it is not a very major issue, i have been accepted into PSU and MSU which have a fairly high ranking in psychology.
PSU: Penn state has offered me the 2+2 programme wherein, I will be at a satellite campus for the first 2 years and the main campus the next 2 years. This works for me because it is cost effective and I really like Penn state because it has a great ranking and everyone knows the university which would be beneficial for me in the future. Problem with PSU is that their satellite campus are literally in the middle of nowhere. As in apart from the campus there is absolutely nothing in the city, and coming from a city myself, it would be extremely difficult for me in the satellite campus. Additionally, even if PSU accepts me for the main campus, I cannot afford it for all 4 years without a scholarship.
MSU: Michigan state is also good for me. It has a great ranking and everybody knows Michigan state as a university. Again problem with MSU is that it is in East Lansing, and that city has nothing apart from the university itself. So it is again in the middle of nowhere. Also, Michigan is really cold so it can be very hard for me to adjust there . MSU has offered me a scholarship but it is not that helpful. I will be able to afford MSU but it will not be the most comfortable.
I know I have written a lot and no one is going to read this, but if you do then please help me with some insights. It is honestly very hard as an international student to figure out where you wanna go. Anyways, thank youu!
