What is with the jankiness and crazy lag framerate drops in the middle of a game since the patch ?!

I have a standard non-pro PS5 and the game performance is incredibly worse than it was pre-patch.

Now every couple holes I randomly get frame rate lag and things are locking up. Sometimes I'm mid swing and everything gets choppy. I almost want to say it's starting to get borderline unplayable?
