Starting with TRYM Health... Advice?
This was literally the cheapest provider I could find ($150 a month all doses) and they responded almost instantly when I texted and were super helpful/nice so I placed an order last week. Looks like it shipped out today, and I'm super excited! But with that also comes a ton of nervousness... So here's some questions:
- Do you actually have to refrigerate meds? I know oz pens are different but still. I don't mind clearing room in the fridge but I'm not totally transparent with my roommates about my usage and I'd like to keep it that way.
- How does it compare to actual oz? Like, I tried oz a couple months ago and had the almost IMMEDIATE feeling of nausea and no appetite (might be hyper responder). Can I expect the same sort of feelings?
- If I decide to switch back to oz pens when they become more available and with coverage can I start at the same dose they put me on? Or do I have to start over? Currently I'm starting at the lowest (0.25mg) but I'll probably move up to 1mg depending on my reaction to the previous doses.
Thanks in advance everyone - hope we all drop some pounds :D
EDIT: Small update - I'm down 8 lbs already! Almost losing the weight too fast, and I don't think I'll continue to move up to 1mg for a while. So far so good with this provider. I'll post an update when I'm closer to my goal. Thanks for the comments and info, everyone.
EDIT #2 January, 2025 - I'm pretty much at my goal and road it out with trym the entire time. They were great to me, and support had no problem replacing a vial that arrived broken from the mail man curbstomping my package against my door step. This was the only hiccup I had the entire time I used them, and they were super helpful with fixing things. Spent in total around $1,100 and saved probably three or four times that on food. I'm now at maintenance dose until my doctor greenlights my final egg retrieval before doing IVF. Woohoo! Good luck to everyone else and THANK YOU everyone for your help and advice. It really does work!
EDIT #3 February, 2025 - This post got tons of attention, so I'll be posting a final review in a new post (as promised) going over everything and my final recommendation. Stay tuned!
