Do men like lingerie?

With Valentines coming up I wanted to ask. Obviously you should wear whatever you feel comfortable in, but I once heard a friend say lingerie is more for the women’s gaze rather than the men’s. Is spending that much on Victoria’s Secret worth it? Opinions?
