Pistol to sbr question

I just bought my first pistol which happends to be a kriss vector. I want to register it as a sbr so however I do not have a brace or a stock if I do register it as a sbr will I be violating anything by not having a stock/brace on it? I do plan to get a stock just still learning about the gun
