Why did they remove defensive options online?

Now you have to pause or go into timeout to adjust anything in game defensively, but for some reason they kept offensive options such as offensive rebounding preferences…

Also you could do pre-game defensive matchups last year, so why did they get rid of that this year? everything seems slower now or takes more time, any reason for this?
