Question About Too-Ticky's Addiction

So, I finished reading The Exploits of Moominpappa. At the end of the book, there is a section entitled "Moomin-Gallery", which gives brief descriptions of various major Moomin characters. Most of it is what you would expect.

Where it gets weird is Too-Ticky's description. It describes her as being "much addicted to bathing-homes". For context, when the book says "bathing-homes", it's referring a type of building by the seaside that people used to use for changing into beachwear.

So, what does being "addicted to bathing-homes" mean?
