Gunlance query

In terms of normal gunlance do you prefer Goldian or Frostfang? I imagine Frostfang is more useful for Alatreon and hits purple but Goldian also had inbuilt poison. Aware most people for go for light break but I can't get over the full burst and long is a bit meh imo. Obviously Fatalis is the best but I don't have him yet
