Was the kinsect tree as small in other games?

I wanna say I could be completely wrong but it feels like the tree for Insect Glaive’s kinsects is way smaller in this game than it felt in World and Rise. But much like a number of other things where I’ve felt “huh, this feels really lacking compared to these other games.” I shut myself down and consider I played those games after all their updates, and I’m playing Wilds brand new. So was the Kinsect tree around the same size when games like World first released and it just got expanded with new updates?
