I'd love mattress advice! Please help me.
I am shopping for a new mattress and like many others on this sub, I am suffering from back pain and desperate. I am on my third mattress in about 5 years, and this is getting to be expensive. (ugh)
My latest mattresses (in order of purchase and use), were:
- Original Mattress Factory....I don't remember the specific model, but likely their classic option and it started sagging in the middle.
- Some Bed in a Box brand that was mailed to me....memory foam. I will NEVER do that again. Waaaaayyyyy to hot for me.
- Saatva Classic....which I am currently using and it is sagging in the middle.
I am a 5'3", female, about 125 lbs. I sleep alone and normally on my side, although I typically watch TV in bed about an hour each evening while sitting up in bed. Also, I sleep hot.
I have read so many posts and recommendations, and I have read reviews online but I am still so confused. I "think" I'm leaning toward the Engineered Sleep Classic Hybrid due to the following reasons. It sounds like it would be a firm mattress (which I think I would prefer), and it is flippable!!! Which sounds great and hopefully won't be sagging in just a few months! Lastly, because it is a hybrid, I think I won't be hot???
Am I looking in the right direction? Any others that I should consider given the above? Is sitting in bed and watching TV what is causing my bed to sag so soon??? I don't think I weigh that much......
UPDATE--03/17/25 ---I did contact Saatva to let them know I was unhappy with my mattress and the sagging issue. As I had expected, they offerred to "discount" a new mattress at 50% off, or pick up my mattress for repair at a much smaller fee (but would takes weeks to repair). I am not interested in either of those options because I do not want to put out any more money for such a poor product. My search for a new mattress continues. I still remain over-whelmed at the options and the various opinions and it doesn't help that I am now sleeping on my sofa nightly.
