Grim Reaper Event Still isn’t working and is stuck on week one

I’ve been trying to figure out what’s wrong with my GF’s game I’ve looked for accountdata package and she doesn’t have mods downloaded only some DLC but I have seen that it doesn’t affect it, she plays on steam but any fixes haven’t worked so far

Her problem is that the news letter wouldn’t show up for a while and after a while it did but it would not let her read it then it disappeared shortly after trying it also her game started bugging out when she planted flowers for the event
