Making Predictive Text the Default

I just got a Nokia 2720 Flip and I'm loving it so far, but I can't figure out how to make predictive text the default input method.

I've gone through Settings>Input Methods to turn it on, but whenever I go to a new text field or even write a new text message it defaults to the multi-press input method and forces me to press the # button to scroll through the other input methods before getting to Predictive.

Does anyone know how to make Predictive the default input method?
