Why Do You Journal?

I’ve been journaling for about 3–4 years now, and it has become a big part of my daily routine. I’m 30, male, and journaling has helped me process a lot, especially heavy childhood trauma that I wasn’t able to work through for a long time. Writing things down has given me clarity and helped me make sense of my emotions in ways I didn’t expect.

I journal for one hour every day, which might seem like a lot, but it has really helped me reflect, ground myself, and work through thoughts that would otherwise stay stuck in my head.

I’m curious—why do you journal? Is it for self reflection, creative expression, mental health, or something else? Also, how often do you journal?

Looking forward to hearing your experiences!
