I have fully built every single character in HSR
Just yesterday, I finally finished building every single character in the game, so I thought I’d like to post a brief breakdown of stats and fun facts about this journey in case anyone finds it interesting.
Brief but important disclaimer, this is obviously not a F2P account, which can already be easily inferred from the starting point of owning every character in the game. The breakdown in here is not meant in any way to showcase a F2P scenario; how much time and jades I spent into this is detailed below.
With that out of the way, what exactly do I mean by ‘fully’ building every character in the game? Some people consider a character built when every single trace is maxed, while others are satisfied with leveling up important traces only and might even be happy with having their non-main DPS units at non-max level as long as they perform well enough in the role they are fulfilling in a team.
In order to set a point of reference, I decided that to consider a character fully built I had to fulfill the following requirements:
- Have the character fully leveled to lvl 80.
- Have a level 80 light cone (BiS or close to BiS) that is not shared with any other character. The idea is being able to drag and drop any character combination at any point in time without needing to dive in and move LCs and relics around in order to make a character work. If it is a 4 star LC / 5 star LC from Herta’s shop, it needs to be S5.
- Every single Ability and Stat trace needs to active. Basic ATK trace needs to be fully maxed. For 5 star characters, Ultimate/Skill/Talent traces need all be min lvl 8 but usually have their most important trace(s) further invested into (9/10). For 4 star characters, Ultimate/Skill/Talent traces need all be min lvl 11 (you can imagine that by pulling for every single char in the game I already have all 4 star characters at E6).
- Every character needs to have a fully BiS (or BiS at time of release) relic / planar set with all pieces leveled to lvl 15, with none of the pieces being shared with any other character. Substats requirements are really hard to pin down in set rules, but in general characters should reach important breakpoints if they need them to function properly at endgame level, with all characters reaching standard 134/160 SPD / EHR / Break Effect / CRIT ratio breakpoints for example if it makes sense with their kit, based off Prydwen’s “Recommended endgame stats” for each character. Characters and teams that require speed tuning follow general breakpoints as to be able to use them with as many character combinations as possible, even if they are not 100% optimized with -1 SPD for all character combinations (eg. DPS that can use Bronya/Sunday have ~ 135-137SPD, with Bronya/Sunday/Sparkle-like supports having around 134-135SPD).
- Characters with multiple paths (MC and March 7th) follow these requirements for every path they can change into.
Character Eidolon Investment
I thought it’d be interesting to see the Eidolon status of standard 5 stars after completing a full collection (as of Feb. 2025) On average, limited 5 star character investment is E1S1. Whether this makes my account whale-like or just dolphin-like depends on each person’s definition I guess, but here’s the rundown:
Standard 5 star Characters
(Note: A mention of a character’s LC superimposition level refers to that character’s signature LC)
Himeko - E6S1 (fun fact, so far I have not over-capped, as in, received any additional standard 5 star character that would go beyond their E6)
Welt – E5S3
Bronya – E4S1
Gepard - E4S1
Clara – E4S0
Yanqing – E2S0
Bailu – E6S2
4 star Characters
DMC/PMC/HMC/RMC – All E6 (gonna include them here)
Every other 4 star character in the game is also E6.
Time / Resources required
The way I approached this challenge of building every character was probably not the most efficient one, but the one I had the least trouble keeping track of. I divided the whole thing into 2 phases:
Phase 1 – Build every character to lvl 70 with “decent/usable” relics. I unfortunately did not keep track of this process as it happened whilst playing the game “casually” and in an unordered manner.
Phase 2 – Once all available characters were lvl 70, I started working towards endgame builds for everyone, in a process which took 59 weeks of daily logins and farming (I only missed 1 day in these last 59 weeks).
Yes, I had to replenish Trailblaze Power every day. As replenishments cost more Stellar Jade for each subsequent one you make, I settled for 4 replenishments per day which total down to 300 Stellar Jades daily for an additional 240 TP, which total roughly to 123,900 stellar Jades throughout 59 weeks, equivalent to 774.3 pulls.
Would also be important to mention I do buy every Battle Pass and usually have a fair amount of currency for some mats in the Ember’s Exchange, however usually don’t buy stuff from the Contract Shop.

Here you should be able to see character level and equipped Light Cone in case you are curious about everyone's build. I covered Eidolon investment level for limited 5 stars as I've heard it's not a good idea to disclose all those exact details publicly.
