Hey everyone,

I'm gearing up for a move to Harrisburg for a job with the state government, and I'm on the hunt for the perfect place to settle down with my young family. We're drawn to the charm of small towns with a strong connection to nature, where we can enjoy the outdoors and still have access to city amenities.

Having lived in both rural and urban settings before, I'm looking for a balance between the two. Ideally, we'd love to find a town with a cozy atmosphere, walkable streets, but also with plenty of space for a yard and gardening. Weekend hikes are a must for us, so proximity to nature trails and parks is important.

While we somewhat care about schools, we're open to private options if the town has other qualities that outweigh school districts.
