The Sashimi Theory: how Hades 2 will end
Today was a good day. In a single gaming session, I beat Chronos and Eris (that b*) for the first time. It's 6am. Time to hit the shower then sleep. As you know, the best ideas come when you're sleep deprived in the shower. Thus I formulated the most poetic theory of how Hades 2 is going to end: *The Sashimi Theory
So Chronos is Deathless because you can't just kill Time. Mel has to keep fighting him again and again until she figures out a way to stop him for good.
There are 2 important story points regarding Chronos that will become relevant:
- Chronos was cut into many pieces by the gods
- Chronos is rumoured to have eaten his children (it is hinted that it is a false rumour in Supergiant's telling of the myth, but that's not critical for the theory to work)
So what if Melinoë, in poetic vengeance, actually did those two things to her grandaddy? What if she slices up Chronos' body into a thousand pieces, as her forefathers intended did, and freaking eat his flesh like sashimi? That would seal him away deep within the belly of death forever.
I can see her dipping Chronos's finely sliced aged meat in Nectar and Ambrosia, tilting her head 45 degrees upwards and slurp. But like all regular sashimi buffets, there's a time limit; she needs to quickly devour him entirely before he puts himself together again. However, the process of cannabalizing the Grandpa Special moriawase platter is gonna take a while. You can say it's time-consuming. Get it? It's time cons-
